01 - Place the peppermint tea bags in a heatproof mug or teapot. Pour the boiling water over the tea bags and steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags.
02 - Meanwhile, heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat or in the microwave until hot but not boiling. Froth the milk using a milk frother, whisk, or by shaking it vigorously in a jar with a tight lid until foam forms.
03 - Divide the brewed peppermint tea evenly between two mugs. Stir in the sweetener if using.
04 - Pour the hot, frothed milk over the tea in each mug, distributing evenly.
05 - Optionally, top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies or cocoa powder. Serve immediately.
