03 - Stir in the ground coffee, then simmer the mixture for an additional 2 minutes.
04 - Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the coffee to steep for 2 minutes for optimal extraction.
05 - Strain the infusion through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter into cups.
06 - If desired, stir in brown sugar or honey and milk or milk alternative just before serving. Serve hot.
